Welcome to church! Today is again an extra special Sunday for us as

congregation for today along with the Word preached we are privileged

also to have the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper being administered in

both services today. “Remember me, O LORD, with the favor that thou

bearest unto thy people: O visit me [visit us] with thy salvation.” Psalm

106:4. May God Triune bless both the audible and visible preaching of His

gospel word that we leave from church today knowing “God has visited His

people” (Luke 7:16b) and given every reason for us to rejoice in Him as

God of our salvation from start to finish!

Some quotes good to reflect on!

“In light of the cross, the greatest insult you can give God is to doubt His

love for you.” J.C. Ryle

“Homosexuality is an evolutionary dead-end.” GH. [What a devilish lie and

delusion then to read in the Calgary Herald a few days ago, “The Calgary

Pride Parade is now a mainstream family event.” Let us beware of the

worldly news media wicked propaganda and agenda, calling what is evil,

good and what is good, evil.] PHO

“Scripture is an inexhaustible treasure that demands a lifetime just to begin

to understand its riches. No one ever outgrows it or exhausts its

immeasurable depth.” John MacArthur

“We are not called to shine our own light; we are called to reflect His light.”

A great prayer to prayer by God’s grace…taken from The Valley of Vision.

“….Let me never undervalue or neglect any part of thy revealed will. May I

duly regard the doctrine and practice of the gospel, prizing its commands

as well as its promises.

Sanctify me in every relation, office, transaction and condition of life, that if

I prosper I may not be unduly exalted, if I suffer I may not be oversorrowful.

Balance my mind in all varying circumstances and help me to cultivate a

disposition that renders every duty a spiritual privilege.

Thus may I be content, be a glory to thee, and an example to others.”

The Rosebud

It is only a tiny rosebud:

A flower of God’s design.

But I can not unfold the petals;

With these clumsy hands of mine.

If I cannot unfold a rosebud;

this flower of God’s design.

Then how can I have this wisdom;

To unfold this life of mine?

The Secret of unfolding flowers;

Is not known to such as I.

God opens this flower so easily;

But in my hands they die.

So I’ll trust in God for leading;

Each moment of my day.

I will look at God for guidance;

In each step along the way.

The past that lies before me;

Only my Lord knows.

I’ll trust Go to unfold the moments;

Just as He unfolds the rose.
