Welcome to church today! We are glad for all who come!  One of our churches has the following words written on the wall leading to the chapel worship room, “Enter to worship…Depart to serve!” May God Triune so bless our worship services that the proclamation of Christ the Saviour from God’s word and the Christian fellowship enjoyed and experienced here be blessed of God making us all truly to seek and serve the Lord in all our ways all our days. As God’s word by the Apostle John puts it in I John 3:18, “My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue, but in deed and in truth.”

Quotes to reflect on:

“To carry Christ in her womb was not Mary’s first blessedness, but was greatly inferior to the distinction of being born again by the Spirit of God to a new life. Yet she is justly called blessed, on whom God bestowed this remarkable honor of bringing into the world His own Son, through whom she had been spiritually renewed. And at this day, the blessedness brought to us by Christ cannot be the subject of our praise, without reminding us, at the same time, of the distinguished honour which God was pleased to bestow on Mary, in making her the mother of His Only Begotten Son.” John Calvin

“If afflictions drive us nearer to Christ, the Bible, and prayer, they are positive blessings. We may not think so now; but we shall think so when we wake up in another world.” J.C. Ryle

“The Cross is the ultimate evidence that there is no length the love of God will refuse to go in effecting reconciliation.” Kent Hughes

“Compared to [God’s] excellences [in and through Christ], all the world is an uncooked egg white.”  John Piper

“Honoring our parents is not an option reserved just for those who actually like Mom and Dad.” K. DeYoung

“Contrary to the fears of some, most household [especially in the Western world] are less patriarchy and more kinderarchy.” K. DeYoung
