Welcome to church today! What a blessing from God to be granted to come together for Christian worship and instruction and fellowship.  In today’s morning’s service we have the privilege of both hearing the gospel word and seeing it visibly with the sacrament of baptism. We give thanks to God that on this special occasion both Danielle’s parents from Ontario as well as Neil and his dad and other family can be with us. May God bless Christian word and sacrament to us all, as the Lord by this audible and visible gospel would lead us and our children in the way everlasting, by grace through faith in Jesus Christ the Saviour of sinners.

Quotes to reflect on:

“Our Lord has written the promise of resurrection, not in books alone but in every leaf of springtime.” Martin Luther

“What does the 10th commandment [‘You shall not covet….’] require of us?  Answer: That even the smallest inclination or thought contrary to any of God’s commandments never rise in our hearts; but that at all times we hate all sin with our whole heart, and delight in all righteousness.”  Heidelberg Catechism QA 113, Lord’s Day 44

“Listen well, and you will be pronounced a brilliant conversationalist!”  Kent Hughes

“I’m not afraid of failure; I’m afraid of succeeding at things that don’t matter.” William Carey
