Welcome to the house of God to meet with the LORD God almighty, most glorious and gracious in all His ways. We meet here to praise His name as revealed in Christ Jesus the Saviour of sinners. How wonderful to be taught and led by Him in the way of the gospel, the way of everlasting life! May God’s people be encouraged in the Christian faith today and sinners saved while still in this time of grace.  “Seek the LORD while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near.” Isaiah 55:6.

Quotes to reflect on:

“There is no sweeter place on earth than the gathered church. She is the temple of the living God, the dwelling place of His Spirit. Love the church. Serve the church. Stop complaining about the church. She is still under construction—as are her members.”  From RHSB note on Ephesians chapter 2.

“All nations are one at the foot of the cross. Despite our tendency to exalt ourselves and judge others based on race or culture, all believers are one and Christ is all. Let us therefore repent of our arrogance and welcome one another.” From RHSB note on Ephesians chapter 2.

“That a famine of hearing the words of the Lord (Amos 8:11) is a sign of God’s disfavor should generate praise and thanksgiving for His favor in giving and preserving His word for us in the Bible. Not only should we be thankful for it, we should feast on it regularly that we might benefit from its bounty for our spiritual welfare.”  From RHSB note on Amos, chapter 8.

“I have given Christ countless reasons not to love me. None of them changed His mind.” Paul Washer, speaking as a Christian.
