Thanks be to God, we may gather again as Christian congregation to worship the LORD God of heaven and earth. We may sit at Jesus’ feet to hear from Him and His gospel word. Do you count this too as one of the greatest privileges in all the world? Do you show See for example, Psalm 84 and 87 and 92 and 122!

Quotes to ponder:

“Observation: People who don’t have much of a plan tend not to read much of the Bible.” Paul Carter

“Sin goes from thrilling to boring in an instant. Discontent to merely look at or watch what God forbids, we demand to also experience it and participate in it. Inevitably we will find ourselves dissatisfied, longing for new verbs [new ways] that express deeper depravity.” Tim Challies speaking especially in reference to pornography. (God keep us completely from it. “Give us the single eye—Thy name to glorify!”

“Light views of sin produce light views of Christianity.”  Derek Thomas

“Marriage exists to show the glory of Christ. It is not a social contract formed when and how we please. It is not just a convenience for satisfying our desires. It is God’s display case for the beautiful relationship between Christ and the church. Husbands and wives have a high calling. Commit yourself to serve your spouse as God commands in His Word—whether your marriage is sweet or sorrowful.”  From RHSB note 3 on Ephesians chapter 5.
