“Seek the LORD while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near!” Isaiah 55:6.
Monday: A thought to ponder! Where has the summer gone? Does it hit you how quickly our lives speed by? With September, and a new school season upon us, what reason to take seriously the prayer of Moses in Psalm 90! “So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”
Tuesday: A thought to ponder! September means kids going back to school, to be educated for life and purpose in this world. Surely, ultimate learning has an eternal perspective about facing death
and God one day. The Bible says, “the fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge.”
Wednesday: A thought to ponder! Have you met people who are very educated, and yet seem to know so
little? The Bible speaks of people, “always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” Certainly, you don’t want that for yourself or your children. Explore the Bible for a well-rounded education!
Thursday: A thought to ponder! Read to this astonishing teaching the Bible gives. “In [Christ Jesus] are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” What a profound statement! To uncover these treasures, read your Bible and meet God who says, “I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently will find me.”
Friday: A thought to ponder! Does God need to go to school? No. The Bible teaches God is infinite wisdom. The Lord Jesus knows everything about everything and everyone! He can never learn something He doesn’t already know! God is omniscient which means “all-knowing”. This is the God to trust and follow!
Saturday: A thought to ponder! Imagine learning to be content in any and every circumstance of life! Paul
the Apostle said he learned this virtue by trusting and following Jesus Christ, as Lord and
Saviour. The Bible says we can only have ultimate contentment through Christ.
Sunday: A thought to ponder! What’s the best way to spend your Sunday? The Bible says, the best way is to go to church to hear God’s word preached. It is like sitting at Jesus’ feet and being taught by Him! Will you go to a faithful Bible church today? We invite you!
