Our Pastor

Pastor Chris Mourik began as pastor of the Calgary Free Reformed Church in September 2022.  Prior to ordination he studied at Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary.  His desire is that Christ, as the only Savior of sinners, would be lifted up so that sinners would be saved and believers strengthened and equipped in the faith.  He and his wife Connie have been blessed with four children.

For encouragement in the midst of this duty, Job’s pattern also makes it clear that diligent spiritual leadership in the home can produce a happy, harmonious family. Job’s family seems to have been a cheerful, close knit bunch. Given that Job’s wife later told her husband to curse God and die, the happiness of the family was probably not her doing.
