Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary

Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary, located in Grand Rapids, Michigan is an educational institution with its own independent Board that is primarily led by the Heritage Reformed Churches. Dr. Joel Beeke, a highly respected preacher and teacher and author is the founding and present president of the seminary. The mission of PRTS is to prepare students from various backgrounds and churches coming from North America and from around the world to serve Christ and His church through biblical, experiential, and practical ministry. The seminary aims that such training be God-glorifying and be in accord with the Scriptures and historic Reformed creeds. We believe that this purpose is well-served by providing theological instruction and training that develops knowledge and skills as well as the personal piety and Christian character that is essential for faithful Christian ministry.  A growing number of the FRC ministers are graduates of PRTS. The FRCNA is a strong supporter of PRTS and it is the seminary where students for ministry in the Free Reformed Churches primarily receive their theological training, as directed by the Theological Education Committee of the FRCNA. For decades now our churches have contributed the full financial backing of at least two of the professors, called by the churches and hired by PRTS to serve as part of the teaching staff there.

Consider the following...

Doctrine is useless if it is not accompanied by a holy life. It is worse than useless; it does positive harm. Something of ‘the image of Christ’ must be seen and observed by others in our private life, and habits, and character, and doings.
